Strategic Plan

St. Alphonsus Parish School has almost a one hundred year tradition of educating the children
of the greater Ballard community, while encouraging their personal and spiritual development.
Our mission is to spread the Good News of Christ through Catholic Education.

We are committed to:

    •   Encouraging the development of mind, spirit and body according to the Catholic faith.
    •   Providing academic excellence in a Catholic environment.
    •   Recognizing parents/guardians as primary educators.
    •   Instilling in students a deep concern for the rights and dignity of the human person.
    •   Recognizing and developing each child's individual talents with the purpose of giving these
        gifts back to the world community.

The Five Year Strategic Plan serves as a guide to help direct the development of St. Alphonsus Parish School over the next five years. The purpose of the Five Year Plan is to provide the school and parish with a blueprint for the future. The Plan provides a guide for ongoing decision making and the development of future policy, and serves as a platform in preparation of the school accreditation processes scheduled for 2007. The Plan also provides the existing parent community and prospective new school families a comprehensive view of what lies ahead. The plan summarizes the history and educational philosophy of St. Alphonsus Parish School and then addresses Catholicity, Curriculum and Programs, Marketing, Finance, Faculty and Staff, and Facilities with recommendations for both short-term priorities and long-term goals. The plan is advisory in nature and should be considered a work in progress that can be revised as necessary. It is intended to be updated every five years, with the next due of Spring 2011.
