Our Community

An excellent Multi-Sensory Structured Language Program is incorporated in our daily reading/language arts program for students who need a multi-sensory approach to their learning and processing.

The Family Center with a full regulation gym opened six years ago for school, CYO sports, and parish use. In 2000 the school began a half day pre-kindergarten program for four year olds.

In 2003 St. Alphonsus added an exciting enhancement to its strong curriculum: the establishment of a single-sex middle school for combined grade levels five/six and seven/eight.

Some interesting information about our staff includes its makeup of fourteen women and five men. Educational degrees of the staff total 33: 21 bachelors and twelve masters. Seventeen members of the teaching staff hold Washington State certification. It is the philosophy of the school in general and the staff in particular that students do indeed come first in all that we do.
